InnerSelf Newsletter: August 7th, 2016

Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.

On airplanes, they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first before taking care of your children or the people next to you. Basically, the message is that you must take care of your own needs before addressing the needs of others. But of course, you have to be able to identify those needs first. Now of course, when the need is as basic as oxygen it's easy to recognize. But for the other needs in our life, whether they be emotional or physical, sometimes it takes a bit of inner searching.

This week our authors assist us in making that connection with our inner needs and dreams. Barbara Berger in "How You Can Take Care of Yourself and Make Good Choices" writes "You can only take care of yourself if you know yourself. You can only make good choices for yourself if you know yourself."  Debra Silverman in "Waking Up To The Compassionate Observer" shares that she will "help you to identify the two voices that make you human: your ego with its chatty, self-serving endless quirkiness, and ...the wise Observer that is patient, non-judgmental and loving."

Janet Conner reminisces about her written conversations with her divine voice and "diving deeper and deeper together into the well of my soul" in "What Your Soul Knows". Joyce Vissell delves into "The Blessing of Differences in Relationships" and how those differences almost force a couple to go to a deeper place where the differences do not exist..

Sarah Varcas informs us that self-awareness is vital in these times in her article entitled "Progress Is Ours as Mars Enters Sagittarius". And in her weekly astrological journal, Pam Younghans recommends "taking the time to go within and open energetically to the embrace of our soul and the Light." So all in all, the tone of the week is to go within, listen, and discover the messages and support therein... and the articles in this week's newsletter will help you do just that. And remember also the numerous additional articles on a variety of topics from health, elections, road rage, trauma, ADHD, movies, and much much more.

Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, and loving week.
