What's the cost of all that worrying? Not just to your peace of mind, but to everyone around you. When you're consumed by fear, it's hard to be generous, hard to be kind, hard to trust that things will work out. And here's the thing: worry is contagious. When your children see you worried, they become frightened too. It creates a vicious cycle—and the best way to help is to step outside of it.
The focus for today is:
I see you, fear, and it's okay that you're here. I am, however, prepared to give you less significance.

Richard reminds us that many people equate being worried with caring, as if the two are interconnected. But when you think about love, what words come to mind? Gentle. Kind. Trust. Relaxed. Giving. When you think about worry? Tense. Untrusting. Cynical. Suspicious. On-edge. The most effective fear-buster isn't pretending you have no fear—it's acknowledging it fully, turning toward it, and then dismissing it more quickly.
