The Pathway to Integrated Living
— Daily reminders for a conscious, connected life —

It's easy to get consumed by everything that's wrong in the world—the suffering, the tragedy, the endless stream of bad news. But what if, alongside all that difficulty, there's an ever-present flow of beauty, joy, and love flowing all around us and within us? What if we're simply not paying attention? A bird at the feeder, flowers in the garden, a friend's voice, an act of kindness—these moments are happening constantly, if only we pause long enough to notice them.
The focus for today is:
Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
Today's message is inspired by Nancy Windheart, author of the article from Rumi: The Book of Love: Poems of Ecstasy and Longing
Windheart reflects on how beauty shows up many times every day—something that takes her breath away, makes her smile or laugh out loud, or makes her bow her head in gratitude. She reminds us that art, music, and creativity in all forms serve as conduits for beauty and love, expressing and nourishing the energy of compassion and kindness in our world. Drawing on the wisdom of Rumi, she invites us to take down a musical instrument instead of opening the study door, to let the beauty we love be what we do. The question isn't whether beauty and love exist—they're always present. The question is: are we opening ourselves deeply enough to receive them? If we truly lead in love, what kind of world might we create?
